COMMENTS:
What gave me the idea? Err, I dunno, maybe hearing Brits TALK? You're seriously gonna tell me you people don't have something against them? Cuz all I ever hear about is redhead discrimination in the U.K. and I wonder, what the hell? Why?
I have never heard any redhead discrimination (or at least that I can remember) in my 14 years here.
By the way, anonymous has hears far more brits talking than you have... so I suggest you dont tell him that hes wrong
no one wants to have red hair, but you don't desciminate again people with red hair. They can just dye is black and look normal.
Thank god that's not the case here. Plenty of women dye their hair red where I come from... it's preferable to plain brown, for some. Why wouldn't people want red hair? What's wrong with it?
If my hair was like, bright carrot orange, I would dye it a nice shade of Titian red or auburn, but I *certainly* wouldn't dye it brown, blonde or black!
red rocks.
They remind us too much of 'Sweaties'. Bloody drunk, unintelligible wastes of space.
I don't think he has to explain himselves. See? The Brits are speaking for themselves!

I've noticed a lot of American women with dyed red hair, looks a bit bland to me.
Interesting. The history of red hair is one of my pet issues. I think I have read all the available articles on the entire internet having to do with ginger origins. But I never heard it told as you tell it. From what I understood, the Anglo-Saxons were the dark-haired and blue-eyed, the Vikings were the ash blonde, pale ones, and the Celts contained an even mix of golden blondes and reds. Where did you get your info? I'd like to read up on that theory of our origins.
I dunno, I hear a lot of negative "Gingers are disgusting" crap from the Brits on this site. I read a study that cited the prevalence of redheads in Britain as 10 percent. Is that most? And by what standards of "red"? I am confused now.
"most of us OUR redheads" he screams!! 'OUR'? Jesus.
I get it from you people's comments! Where else? I didn't pull it out of my ass; I didn't dream it. There are entire British websites dedicated to "ending ginger discrimination" and there are Brits who go around here saying that in their country, red hair is generally not desirable. Scroll up to see some of them. You're not gonna convince me that I'm imagining tha whole thing. Besides, I'm not too passionate about the whole issue anyways; I live in America, and Britain is far away. I made this poll out of curiosity.
I went to Mexico in a student exchange program and there was this redhead mexican (yeah there are some believe it or not lol it was a private school and for some reason many mexican kids in private schools are caucasians i guess their spanish ancestors or something ANYWAY) and they all said it was bad luck to have her as a friend or something like that... and she was pretty... it was just so weird..
Throughout the ages we've been known as witches, snitches and bitches... it's the strangest thing...
I mean, don't get me wrong - I'm a fucking BITCH. But not all of us are.
I've had 3 girlfriends, this one currently a redhead. And she has the best personality out of all three, with looks to kill. She is gorgeous. So I don't know why people wouldn't want to associate with redheads. Just like people can have blond, brown, or black hair, people can have red hair, and in my humble opinion, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Well actually i think women with ginger are sexy, but ginger hair on a man does not go especially if he cut his hair on one side of his head and let the hair on the other side grow just like Mick Hucknall from Simply Red used to leaving him looking like a spasticated carrot top.
I agree that red hair looks better on women than on guys. Ginger taunts at school were mainly directed at boys. I myself have dated three red-headed women, so I certainly don't count as supporting evidence for your hypothesis (I'm a Brit).
I'm Very pale white, have no freckles, hardly any moles/birthmarks/scars,have long curly black hair and brown eyes.I am also tall. What am i then?
Bye.
Speak for yourself, janine. I'm an American and I don't like redheads. People with red hair are just very unappealing to me; especially, that carrot colored red is the worst & fugly. But I think people w/ reddish brown hair look ok, though.
Unfortunately human nature and the competititive instinct mean that we all like to make comparisons based on the new sciences of genetics and breeding. In other words we all have a degree of racism in us that needs an outlet. It is very difficult to be insulting to blacks, women, old people, gays, whites, chinese or many other groups in these modern days. This is probably because they each have become popular enough causes to recieve an 'ism' to their name and therefore be protected by legislation or strong enough to attach a social stigma if a person indulges in being negative towards any of these groups; that isn't easy to shake. Redheads have not yet fallen into these groupings that are deemed worhty of protection by state or stigma. Therefore people feel safe enough to treat them with a strong, racist behaviour that is latent, but always present in the majority of people and can come to the surface because there is no fear of consequence. I feel sorry for redheads---they have been forgotten in the civil movements of the lsat fourty years. The poor ugly, freckly little mingers!!

because we Anglo-Saxons dont like celtic scum. hehe. nah, most of us dont have a problem with "gingas." 'tis a myth, like the bad teeth thing.
Gingers? Hell we call them Peckerwoods. But as far as I'm concerned Peckerwood chicks are the best especialy with freckles and green eyes.
Did you know in mideivil times, some people believed the body fat of redheads was poisonous?
guest 80c99 You are a eggbum and need wiping---fast before your dirty little buck-toothed incestuous mother comes and licks the shit off of your arse and uses it for dental floss. oh yeah baby!!

i'ts just an easy way for them to show their rasist tendicies without being sued or arrested.
Some of my favourite Movie stars are red heads, Shirley Mc clain, Rita Hayworh, Katherine Hepburn, Julianne Moore, Nichole Kidman, Lindsy Lohan, My wife's one of the most beautiful woman i ever met and she's a real red head, what's the matter with you Brits???
If red hair is the main colour for the whole comments about "i find it repulsive and ugly" then why isnt the other colours like blonde brown and black surrounded by this controversy. If you are commenting here and saying you do not like it, just remember keep in check what you say because there might be some undiscovered website about your hair colour.
