I hate the NY Yankees... But, the FACT is that BABE RUTH was a great Major League pitcher as well as a great major league hitter. No one compares to Babe Ruth.
Mantle, as much as it irks me to admit as I'm a Sox fan, was the epitome of the player that could do everything: hit for average, hit for power, run well, field and throw exceptionally well. Followed closely behind by Ted Williams and the Babe.
Babe Ruth was the greatest of all time w/o a boubt. The list here is terrible. You can go ahead and take out Yaz/Pujols/A-Rod/Clemente/Bonds/Jackie Robinson
and add in real players like Willie Mays, Lou Gehrig, Ted Williams, Honus Wagner, Tris Speaker, Joe DiMaggio, C'mon this list looks like it was made by someone who just started watching baseball today. why is Yaz even on this list, he wasn't even the best to play in Boston, how about Ted Williams. This list is atrocious.
