Jinn, he was drunk. You did notice that fact didn't you? I doubt he gets drunk everyday of the week either.
I think he makes as good a role model as any other father. He's certainly better than many others that bash their kids, or engage in criminal activities

Sorry, it's just that it appears as if the media and a bunch of others are into "tall poppy syndrome"; let's all attack the successful person and knock them down.
That's cool. Actually I am a big fan of Gibson. Can't think of any film of his I don't like, and a couple of his are among my favorites. I have defended him in a casual argument with a friend of mine, also saying he made an error in judgement due to intoxication. Happens to most of us during our lives. My devious inspiration for the ballot was the photo, which you have probably concluded yourself. 
I liked that movie. Scary for me, but I liked it. Those kids look adorable too
