Actually it was Clyde Tombaugh's cat "Snugglebottoms O'Reilly" that woke him up one night as he fell asleep at the telescope...he opened his eyes and, the cat's ass was in his face, so he shooshed the cat away and lo' and behold...the planet Pluto.
