COMMENTS:
And, and thanks to Bush, we are losing Iraq, impotent in the face of Iran and Hezbollah, and the lackey of Israel. And the 5,000 number is based on what? Whatever Karl Rove thought would boost Bush in the polls and help Republicans in November?
Somehow I think the lefts approach of politely asking those 5000 terrorists to turn themselves in to face justice at the hands of the US legal system would not have achieved the same results.
I guess you would know, Green Beret.
Voted : No
but would this figure be relevant without knowing the number of new terrorist the act of war has created? You would have to take in consideration the verity of this statement in general... the number of civilian/military that lost their lives, costs etc...

FYI. herzie cut-and-pasted this from the ABC News website, from a column called "The Blotter," written by Brian Ross. (herzie ballot category: "Pro-war cheerleading")
Voted : No
My complaint is that there haven't been more captured or killed especially Osama bin Laden. Cranky... are you in love with herzog? You seem to follow him everywhere, desperate for attention.
Honestly, I don't know. There is so much deception in the world after 9-11 that I can't completely trust anyone, and certainly not the agency and government that deceived us about WMD's in Iraq and Hussein's alleged ties to terrorism. So, who knows? Better still, how do we/they know the people they killed/captured were "terrorists?" The seem fairly indiscriminate in their definitions since 9-11. So, who knows?
Fiddle: Look who's talking, Kool-Aid drinker!
Great comment, MO. Right on the money. Which war, herzog? The one fought in Afghanistan against Al-Qaeda, in retaliation to the 9/11 attacks? Or the one fought in Iraq, which, by the CIA's own admission, had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks? Just wondering.

Ha! How impressive ... when anyone you catch is autoimatically 'a terroist.'
'Ha! How impressive ... when anyone you catch is autoimatically 'a terroist.'' Hmm, everyone we get is a terrorist (it said captured or killed). And if the western media is to be believed we've killed hundreds of millions of Iraqis, so the CIA would be saying we've killed hundreds of millions of terrorists. But are you saying the US has only killed/captured 5000 people in Iraq, Afghanistan and in police raids here? Or is the statement that everyone we kill or capture we lable a terrorist maybe a little bit of sour grapes? Let's face it, the only terrorists who would have been killed under the lefts 'let's treat this like an episode of cops' approach would be the ones who launched further suicide attacks against us.
mojo: both conflicts are part of the same war. And yes, Iraq was a major supplyer of terrorism under saddam. He didn't plan 911 but this isn't entirely about 911 either.
But how do you know this isn't part of a political ploy? This came about at Sept. 11, can't be a coincidence. How does one know that the CIA hasn't exaggerated the numbers, or is lying? And what about the secret jails? As margret said, this is the same organization that lied about WMDs. "And yes, Iraq was a major supplyer of terrorism under saddam" How is that, exactly? What proof?

'Iraq was a major supplyer of terrorism under saddam.' I am not quite sure what you are trying to say. Could you explain what you mean? WMDs? In your description, you said referred to 9/11 a couple of times, so I assumed that's what you were talking about.

Aya, mojo: there were training bases in Iraq under saddam for terrorists. One in particular taught them how to hijack a plane using a grounded 747. Besides that he was notorious for cutting checks to terrorists.
