I've wondered that, as well, larry.
Noone is angry or if they are, the political climate keeps them from venting their anger.
The MTV generation has well and truly been led by wolves.
They weren't strong enough or wily enough to survive in the wild. Most were eaten the moment they left the commune, the rest were killed off the first winter.
It's sad to watch, but that's natures way of keeping the herd strong.
