I'd be willing to take the risk.

With the alternative of remaining poor?
So if I win the lottery I should just rip up the check and forget about it. Thanks for the good advice.
I think I'd be able to handle it well, but not everybody could.

^Pretty much what the angry kid said, except I would qualify that it would mess up MOST other people. So, if any of you win the lottery do yourself a favor, and send the money to ME! But, seriously. It's a good point you make. Let me say it another way. IMO, The MOST important things in life money cannot fix. Or buy.
Voted : No, it would only end up ruining my life.
Not because of what you said but because the thirsty ass government would be raising your taxes sky- high. Also you'll be #1 on every criminal's list to get robbed. I'd rather be poor and cocky.

Family already does the money thing lol. Screw drugs don't need them. I have no job but if I got that kinda money I would get a video game company up and running. I may have money but there still is no reason to be lazy.

Yeah I would, can it buy happiness though?

In all fairness, I'd say it would probably be somewhere in between. I don't have a huge circle of friends, so I wouldn't have a hard time saying 'No' to the hordes of acqiantences who would descend. as well as all the salespeople and hucksters. That *would* be tedious and unpleasant. And I agree ... I'd sit around drinking more. There would definitely be additional pressures, as you astutely predict. But gaining the freedom not to have to work any more ... the gain of time and freedom from chronic low-level stresses ... that would offset the negatives, in my estimation.
To be specific: I'd have enough discipline not to ruin myself. Completely.

I already have planned out exactly what to do. My sister gets a large portion. I work where others get tips. I would give a nice sum to all those who split their tips with me. And that's it. Could I handle having that much money? I am doing it already in my imagination. I also would definately keep on working at some kind of job--like volunteering to help adults learn to read. I know for sure that I need structure and routine in my life.
