Just had an interesting bit of it here in Jawja, from a few cases of flat-out voting machine crapola to the Great Voter ID Issue that had me so up in arms. After the issue was shot down as being "the equivalent of a poll tax" (*where* they get *that* from, *please tell me*!), a number of voting precincts actually *asked* for some form of ID. Mine did, which I was glad to do. A few voters reported the incidents to the Federal Election Bureau. Still don't see the problem in being required to say that you are who you are. You have to do the same thing when you cash a check.
It would sound better if both parties had the same concern, and gaining a political advantage didn't seem to be the motive.
