We arent supposed to include web links in ballot descriptions, so I will ask you to google the ballot title, and watch the video you will find (you tube and many others should have the same video)

Now, how widespread/influential do you think this sort of anti-democratic practice is?

(and a side question, why exactly do you think the people in the video didnt want the young man to vote?)

If some had their way, they would re-introduce the 'Jim Crow' laws.

Just had an interesting bit of it here in Jawja, from a few cases of flat-out voting machine crapola to the Great Voter ID Issue that had me so up in arms. After the issue was shot down as being "the equivalent of a poll tax" (*where* they get *that* from, *please tell me*!), a number of voting precincts actually *asked* for some form of ID. Mine did, which I was glad to do. A few voters reported the incidents to the Federal Election Bureau. Still don't see the problem in being required to say that you are who you are. You have to do the same thing when you cash a check.

It would sound better if both parties had the same concern, and gaining a political advantage didn't seem to be the motive.
