I try to vote only once on any given ballot, but I'm not a product of the Daley Machine ("vote early, vote often" for you young folk).

Yes, once a ballot vote.

As long as we're able to still add ballot choices without voting on them.
by Grumpy_Person on Thu Nov 30, 06 1:28pm [+]

Voted : Yes
Yes if this is cleared up:

I create a ballot choice and then I go right below and add a comment. Then I click the spot to show my vote with the comment. But the choice doesn't show up at that time with my comment. I'd like my new choice to show up at that time, rather than add the choice first and then go back to the ballot to comment with that choice so it shows up.

Sometimes when I make the choice first and then to go back to make the comment and want to include my choice with the comment, it says I have to wait 24 hours.

Is anyone really that anal that they care how many times people vote on a ballot? It is a website that we can have fun on, not a freaking Gallup poll.

I could really care less how many times someone votes on my polls as I am well aware that some have voted many times on the same ones.

Why don't we put in a special check on herzog's and cranky's ballots that asks people if they really want to vote for the ridiculous option that they usually offer as a choice.

geeez Just have fun.

^^geez, no need to get snippy.

it's just a question.

I think it would be far more constructive to find a way of stopping the spamming with multiple votes - in one case I had a ballot spammed with over six hundred votes in a period of just a few hoursballot #97082 - that is rampant on this website, and which I feel diminishes and impacts very negatively on this website's integrity as an impartial and accurate reflection of popular/public opinion.

it's the way internet is constructed.

anonymity and loopholes abound, it's hard to keep those determined to sabotage at bay.
by LCD on Thu Nov 30, 06 4:46pm [+]

Remember areyoubeautiful dot com, multiple voting helps no one.
by Doctordraw on Thu Nov 30, 06 5:00pm [+]

It gives a fair and accurate result then.
by minni_the_minx on Thu Nov 30, 06 5:35pm [+]

Ken, I went and looked at that ballot, and I have to say, I only see 171 spam votes.
by jappy on Thu Nov 30, 06 8:19pm [+]

I don't know, sometimes I come across a ballot I voted in and decide to vote again. I think being able to vote more than once is okay.

The other problem with limiting the vote to one per registered user, this should be limited to one per user on computer regardless of the user name too if that gets put into play.

Another problem, what about non registered users, can they still vote?
by jappy on Thu Nov 30, 06 8:22pm [+]

Well ken, I saw more than one of your ballots gain several hundred votes in favor of your conspiracy nonsense in less than 4 hours. Pot calling the kettle black isn't it? You enjoy the attention of vote spamming anyways, it gets your repetitive ballots more exposure.
by FiddleFaddleOnLSD on Thu Nov 30, 06 9:32pm [+]

Ah shut the f*ck up you irritating half-wit.

You were caught spamming with hundreds of votes on one ballot - remember?

'irritating half-wit' Lol, Ken, there's only one irritating half wit on this ballot and it's you.
by IC on Fri Dec 01, 06 6:54pm [+]
