...should he be (asked to or be ) subject to a "forced" resignation ? With numbers that low, you are no longer representing the constituency, which maybe can no longer be considered a Democratic (majority rule) situation...This seems to be a formula to represent special interests...

No 9
Yes, he/she should be impeached 8
Yes, he/she should resign 6
No, he/she doesn't have to answer to the people 0

Polls are polls. They are done by different groups. They are not elections. Do you really want a president to govern according to whatever way the wind blows? Its rather ridiculous. Some of the best presidents (not Bush - one of the worst) had horrible poll ratings at one time or another during the term. We don't have a parlimentary system in the US, you don't just dissolve government because there is a current lack of confidence.

fast forward to the future. Hillary Clinton president. Fox news poll has Hillary at 10% approval. Boot her ass out.

Rather stupid isn't it? I would say so.

BTW, If memory serves me right (I was alive back then), a Mr. Lincoln had some really bad poll numbers. Hell, he even had the country in a civil war. Drat. If only we had thrown him out....

Sorry, you have to take the bad (Bush) with the good (most of the rest).

anyone that would rely on fox (news ?) for anything is not trying to get to the truth... when a concensus of polls by unaligned entities arrive at the same conclusion then you might have a more realistic picture of what is going on...it's funny how polls are dismissed when they are not in your favor and cited when they are...

Forced resignation over poor poll results? That's just stupid.

I agree pretty much with what Fiddle said. Polls are hardly an accurate representation.

Look at how many times we've seen the results of a Gallup poll for example and disagreed with it saying "well, they didn't poll me or anyone in my neighborhood".

Polls are inaccurate and easily biased. Besides being foolish such a law would be quite unconstitutional.

Voted : Yes, he/she should be impeached
Not because of just opinion polls, but for bad decision.

Polls can be doctors even more than votes if that's possible.

Then again last I heard, anything under 60% is considered a failing grade.

Would that it were this easy...

Polls can be doctors too, you know. Or are you trying to discriminate against polls? >:(
