Having said that though, there's a time to be serious and a time to take things with a grain of salt. When being serious is in order, those who can't do so are just showing their immaturity.

I think that most people that can't carry a serious convo are nervous, for one reason or another. I doubt they are ignorant, they probably just don't feel comfortable talking about a certain topic.

To think that someone is ignorant for lack of serious conversation is hypocritical. You are in fact ignorant for pressing an uncomfortable issue.

IMO, certainly immature, knowing that they inhabit a world where serious issues are lying all about. Ignorant draws from this initial, and nervous could be an underlying reason.
