Some people will always resent a superpower, and the Iraq war makes it worse. So does Gitmo. Also, a lot of Americans are fat.

Our leaders and many people traveling abroad other countries display arrogance. However, that is not how all Americans are. We are a cesspool of many different ethnicities, with very a different cultural feel in all cornors of the US. If you have traveled the US, you will find this out firsthand.
We are a bit spoiled, but people forget that there have been many wars fought within this country itself that people are very prideful of/or very ashamed of. That created pride, and we all know that pride can have a negative effect when it goes too far.
I am proud to be American. To say that Americans are fat is stupid... so are british, chinese and many other countries in this world.

I meant traits Americans have that Americans THEMSELVES frown upon.
