1000 DOGS AND CATS IN MASS CULLING AND THE HUMAN SOCIETY POLICY

Lied Animal Shelter, the animal shelter in Las Vegas, just culled over 1000 dogs and cats because of an outbreak.

keep in mind not all 1000 of them had the disease.

Lied Animal shelter, unlike other animal shelters, keep the animals as long as possible, rather than putting them to sleep on schedule (Los Angeles county animal shelters give the cats a mere 24 hours before they put them to sleep) When Humane Society people went there and found the outbreak, they ordered the mass culling, and blamed Lied people for keeping some animal for 120+ days.

In fact, most of the culled animals were the ones that were overdue, and not because they were sick.

my question : is it Humane to keep the ovens runnning on schedule, to prevent some future outbreak?

Workers are being blamed for the illness and the culling, which happened on Feb 9.

I wonder if it was just that one Humane Society or if they are all operating like that? I was going to make a donation to my local Humane Society soon.

Voted : Yes, it's Humane
I think it's more humane than living in the cages that they do.

I don't donate to the Humane Society myself. When I want to help the animals out, I give food, litter, etc... directly to the shelter. That way I know how my money will be spent.
