I hate Fox News as much as anyone, but was surprised to see this:

True ‘Fair And Balanced’ Coverage: Wallace Calls Out Feith For Lying On Fox News

Last week on Fox News Sunday, former Rumsfeld aide Douglas Feith told Chris Wallace, “Nobody in my office ever said there was an operational relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda. It’s just not correct. I mean, words matter.”

Fox News pursued the matter and did a follow-up report this week. Wallace reported, “It turns out he did make that case in a memo he sent to the Senate Intelligence Committee in October of ‘03.”

Does the usually odious Fox News deserve an "attaboy" for exposing a former Bush Administration figure as a liar?

COMMENTS:
We can get fox news here in England, and I must say, it is probably the funniest programme on TV. It is so blatantly biased its hilarious. In England the news channels are alot more sneaky in their bias reporting.

Although I commend them for being more truthful in their reporting, I think it is more a reflection of the dwindling far-right base than any concerted effort to report news accurately. Fox needs viewership to survive, and if their base is starting to succumb to the overwhelming evidence of the fallacies of the Bush administration and the Iraq war, Fox is going to have change its tune to maintain their viewership.

And let's put it up in banner headlines around the world. Once-in-a-lifetime events should be heralded. And the added bonus of seeing them twist in the wind for calling their bosses wrong...
