COMMENTS:
There are two on this list that are my favorites:

"Killing Me Softly"

Strumming my pain with His fingers
Singing my life with His words
Killing me softly with His song
Killing me softly with His song
Telling my whole life with His words
Killing me softly with His song...

I heard He sang a good song, I heard He had a style
And so I came to see Him to listen for a while
And there He was this young boy, a stranger to my eyes

I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd
I felt He found my letters and read each one out loud
I prayed that He would finish but He just kept right on...

He sang as if He knew me in all my dark despair
And then He looked right through me as if I wasn't there
But He just came to sing, singing clear and strong

Strumming my pain with His fingers
Singing my life with His words
Killing me softly with His song
Killing me softly with His song
Telling my whole life with His words
Killing me softly with His song...

He was strumming, oh, He was singing my song
Killing me softly with His song
Killing me softly with His song
Telling my whole life with His words
Killing me softly with His song...
With His song...

and..."Me & Mrs. Jones"

034

Me and Mrs. Jones
We got a thing going on
We both know that it's wrong, but it's much too strong
To let it grow now

We meet every day at the same cafe, six-thirty
I know, I know she'll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favorite song

Me and Mrs.
Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones
We got a thing going on
We both know that it's wrong, but it's much too strong
To let it grow now

We gotta be extra careful
That we don't build our hopes up too high
'Cause she's got her own obligations
And so, and so, do I

Me and Mrs.
Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones
We've got a thing going on
We both know that it's wrong, but it's much too strong
To let it grow now

Well it's time for us to be leaving
It hurts so much, it hurts so much inside
Now she'll go her way and I'll go mine
Tomorrow we'll meet the same place, the same time

Me and Mrs.
Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones
Got a thing going on

We gotta be extra careful
We can't afford to build, our hopes up too high
I wanna meet and talk with you
At the same place, the same cafe, the same time
And we're gonna hold hands like we used to
We're gonna talk it over, talk it over
We know, they know, and you know and I know that it was wrong
But I think it's strong
We gotta let 'em know now
That we gotta thing goin' on, a thing goin' on

Oh yes, it doesn't get better than this...025
