IS THE BIG LIE BACK?

In the past, most notably the Nazis during WWII, a propaganda method known as "the big lie" was employed to gull the masses. It worked like this: the party just kept telling the same lie over and over until it became so much a part of the culture that people believed it. Now, my question is, do we now see the big lie back with the Bush folks, and what forms do you see it taking?
