No, only while I am dreaming. That must be alarming.

Ugh I had a double whammie last night... it was awful. Maybe I am getting abducted by aliens! Eh... I could have an overactive imagination??
It means a Demon is trying to get you. Did you feel like a great weight was on top of you? That's the Demon.
No, I am just semi restricted. It never lasts too long... mostley it feels like I can't move my limbs.

Sounds like sleep paralysis. It's often accompanied by terrible, terrible nightmares, and these nightmares are so vivid they're more like hallucinations. It's one of the most unpleasant experiences one could go through.

I get that a lot. except i can't move at all, no matter how hard i try, though i am completely aware of what's going on around me. It scares the shit out of me, cos you're tryna wake up properly but your body won't let you. It's like being trapped.
I've done that before

YES! It has happened to me a number of times. The first time it happened i was 18. It was the scarriest feeling i ever had because you feel like you're dead or dying. Its a state right before the Z state of deep sleep. Your mind is still active but you're brain shuts down your body. It is a defense mechanism in mamals. Your brain shuts down your body in sleep to prevent you from injuring yourself while asleep.Sometimes this connection gets screwed up:) I havent had it happen to me in a while actualy but some people can practice it and put themselves in that state. Its also called the out of body expereince i believe. dont be scared of it. Next time it happens try to actualy enjoy it as hard as that sounds. If you focus on it you can actualy feel yourself elevating upwards. I reached the ceiling ONCE! its a very trippy experience. You can do anything in that state if you put your midn to it.
I'm telling you that it is a Demon attacking you. When you're asleep, you're vunerable and they know that. That's why they're lying on top of you. To either try to kill you or to possess you. Don't believe me? Fine. I'll tell satan to make a believer out of you tonight.

It hasn't happened in many years but I've experienced that...I believe what happens is your body is out of "rhythym and your mind is not in the "total subconcious" state so you are "aware" but since you are in the "hibernation mode you don't have control of your body so you can't move...and you do get that floating sensation...I had that "problem when I was in the military and we had a rotating work shift (two 8am to 4 pm shifts then eight hours off and two 12am to 8am shifts and then eight hours off and then two 4pm to 12pm shifts and then eighty hours off... that made it hard to get my body in sync...

yes - it used to happen to me quite a bit and it really freaked me out. I must have been moaning or whining or something (even though in my dream it felt like i was trying to scream)- because a lot of times my husband would wake me. Sometimes i would finally just jolt awake on my own. But i think i finally learned to relax and recognize it and control the panic. what has become more frequent is that i realize i am dreaming. Sometimes it is in situations that are threatening - and then once i realize i'm dreaming the fear goes away. Sometimes it's just a series of dream weirdnesses that makes it finally occur to me i'm dreaming. then i usually try to fly somewhere or lately i've been looking for a particular individual. I think since i started being aware i'm dreaming - the semi-awake paralysis crap hasn't occurred so much.
