BUSH CRITICIZES PELOSI FOR GOING TO SYRIA, HELPS REPUBLICANS DO THE SAME

Though Bush administration officials have been criticizing Pelosi, it’s not clear what role the White House and the U.S. Department of State played when U.S. Rep. Joe Pitts and two other Republican congressmen met with Syrian President Bassar Assad.

Pitts is a Chester County Republican who represents Lancaster County.

Gabe Neville, Pitts’ chief of staff, said Monday the conference between Assad and the three Republicans was intended to be “low profile.”

“It was done in cooperation with the administration,” he said. (Think Progress)

Is it hypocritical for Bush to criticize a Democrat for going to Syria, because Syria is an enemy, while at the same time helping Republicans to make the same trip?

Why didn't the Founding Fathers put in a "Drop-Kick" function in the Presidency? If a CiC does a series of somethings so egregious that it's deemed a waste of time and effort to convene an impeachment session of Congress?

what I don't understand is why he thinks we shouldn't have some kind of conversation with a nation like that. Even if they hate us and their people all want to terrorize us I still can't imagine why we shouldn't try talking with them. We should just ignore them and make everyone we're siding with close them out too? Isn't it safer for all our future to try to communicate somehow with everyone?

Maybe it's because she has no reason to be in Syria.
