From my perspective, I feel that he was pandering. That makes me think that he is untrustworthy. Talking about bombing any nation is NOT something to make a joke about.

The same charaterization could be applied to the present leadership of the USA Socrate, make no mistake about it...
BBC- certainly, from the Iranian point of view, arguably, the US seems threatening.
Because the U.S. IS a threatening regime Socrates, NOT, "seems threatening," it is obvious that the present leadership in the Oval Office gives Iran pause for cause and other countries as well...
I will also venture to say that the only reason the U.S, had not sucker punished N. Korea becasue China would get involved and the U.S. can not afford to be confronted by China, Economically and/or Militarily (China's international supports would not hesitate to continue to stand by them)...
