DO YOU VISIT GRAVES OF LOVED ONES?

[+] ballot by larrynelmira

I know some , especially older people make a pilgrimage to the cemetery on certain holidays, take flowers and such, I do that myself, I also go there when I want to meditate or when feeling down, I talk to the grave as well, even though yes, I know.

Many people I speak to say they don’t, nothing in the coffin , no longer the loved ones they knew, and I know that to be true as well, I don’t go because I think they will appreciate the flowers I bring or my visit, I do for myself, I don’t know why, I can’t explain it in words.

How about you , do you visit the graves of your loved ones, if you do , is it to pay respect, what are the reasons you go there?

Voted : No, my loved ones are not there
I used to, until the day I began to realize how morbid I was becoming in my middle age. Now, I pay my respects from afar.

Nope, all my family members get cremated.

I visit the odd grave to dance on it, now and again. Yes, I know, I'm a c*nt! ;o)

I go on my Dad's birthday and on Father's day. I know he is not there, but, having known my Dad, and how sentimental he was, I know he would want me to. Mom was cremated and I do not know where her ashes are interred. Dad knew, but he's gone.

If we do so, it is for our own emotional satisfaction,
and to resolve within ourselves that we too will be down in that same hole, one day.
Most of us are ill-prepared for that eventuality
