Are some people born 'evil' or do they become 'evil' due to their social or cultural surroundings. I would really like to believe that people aren't born evil, but sometimes I wonder. For example, ten or so years ago two ten year old boys, (Robert Thompson and John Venables) abducted a two year old boy from a local supermarket in Liverpool, England. They took him to an empty train station, poured paint into his eyes, threw him onto the train track and pelted him with bricks, and then watched as a train ran him over. I apoligise for the extensive detail , which British users will be familiar with, but I want to know how in ten short years two boys can become so currupt and evil that they could do that to an innocent child? By the way the pair were released from detention in 2001 having served under eight years and were given new identities and addresses.

I've known people who have been down and out and on the edge of having any hope at all and they still manage to be cordial and caring about others.

I'd like to know what cultural abnormality can explain those boys' behavior or better yet this guy.

I'm agreeing with this because of the uncle who raped me when I was a child. he's fully aware of what he did to me. I know it everytime I look him in the eye, and he's never expressed an instant of remorse about it.

I believe most people become morally corrupted as they grow up and deal with a society which is in many ways rotten. A minority though, like those 2 kids, are just plain evil. I'd love to gain access to the psychologists reports to learn a bit more about their motivations.

I deal with a society every day that is rotten in some way or another. All I can do is complain a bit, maybe laugh and thank goodness that we have guys like Truthseeker in this world.
