I've been to Europe and i'll be honest, it's a beutiful continent. It is however a das place to look across the mass grave stones in the battlefields of the past. I do recall being yelled at by everyone there who knew i was american. They just yelled at me thinkin that i can change my countries political system as a 16 year old.
Ok, so I am a Canadian, not an American. Same thing. I've been all over Europe and loved it. I met some great people and some great assholes from many countries. Generally, Europeans aren't well informed about North America. But then they usually ask if they want to know which I didn't find very often in the Americans. But Aussie's rule! God I love Aussie women! So this Pollack walks into a poll site and..sorry couldn't resist. But you define our country by hockey? That's perpetuating a stereotype that...wait, we do define ourselves by hockey. Gee, that's pretty sad. Why don't we start waving the flag around as though it meant something other than "I come from the land of hockey?"

I've been to Florida & New York State. I found the people pleasant enough but utterly shallow, and entirely ignorant of the world outside their own little lives. I was also stunned at the sheer wastefulness I saw in America.
Damn imposters! I've been to Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Kuwait and Iraq. Of those, Germany is the nicest. Lots of snow means lots of snowboarding. They just need longer store hours and a 24 hour Walmart and they'll be good.
93% of Americans don't even have passports so most of them can't possibly know anything about other countries.

Let me translate that ASS..I mean SAS. 93% of Americans don't care to see your country. We got shit to do!
Everyoen should have a passport, incase bush finally looses his mind and declairs martial law, and suddenly everyones looking for a small island to hide on.
If that happens I'll kill myself.
Why is it that "anonymous" is an "expert" on every ballot?
Beats me
Guest, I got the 93% figure from a reputable newspaper. I also searched the internet and it gave me various figures, ranging from 80% to 95%. Whatever the actual percentage, it seems quite clear that most Americans do not have a passport.

I wanna go to England.
SAS, how many times do I have to tell you that Americans don't care to see your sorry boring ass country! That's why many don't have passports. Just because your country is small, doesn't me America is. We can fit 20 of your country in America. There's so much to do and see. Why the fuck would we want to leave? Why do some Europeans constantly crave our attention? I do stress the word "some"
Mean*
I've read your opinion, Dingleberry. No need to repeat it over and over. I don't even want you here, nothing is more annoying than an American tourist. All I'm saying that most of you don't have the experience or knowledge to say anything about other countries.

True. You don't either. For guest82cb1, I wasn't talking about Europe you dork bitch. I was commenting towards SAS' country.
Germans might be rude. But not Dutch!
Regarding the “Only 7% of Americans Have Passports” statement posted by SAS: According the European Travel Commission, 18% of US adults had passports in the year 2000 (Link below). The US passport office does not publish this percentage but does provide data showing that the number of passports issued to US citizens is growing every year (Link below). So four years later, we can assume that the % is greater than 18%. But even if it were 7% or 18% or 50% - what does that mean? - I have never seen comparable statistics for other countries. But I would expect Europeans to have a higher % since the countries are smaller and closer together. The US is very large, has a large ocean to both the east and west, and large countries to the north and south that do not require Americans visitors to have passports. (Note: Unfortunately, this website will not allow me to publish my references noted above).
It's kind of funny how different sources give totally different % about passports given to US citizens. But even 18% would be really low compared to Europe. Most of the people I know have travelled outside Europe. It's not such a big deal here to visit another country and learn about other cultures, it's a common thing to do.
