I read a book years ago relating to travelling or searching for someone in China and one of the substories involved a person being skinned alive. The whole image of it totally freaked me out. it left me with the impression that one might remain conscious through a good deal of it. it was quite horrifying to me - the slow dying and the agony of exposed flesh.

My husband said the pain would make you pass out but you'd wake up and then what? I mean who could wake up like that? Ewww, i'd be begging to die.

I guess they might be awake through it, i just thought of that, since during circumsitions the kids don't pass out (the babies) UGHHHHHHHHHHH now i'm really sad! That is just horrible!! Sick bastards
