only reason I focus on priest in this ballot is because I've noticed many believe not allowing them to marry as the problem, I don't see that as the cause of being a child molester. That's just my opinion about it all
I don't think "curing" is the reason that some people want to allow priests to marry. I think the idea is that more people will want to become priest since there won't be a requirement to stay celibate. Perhaps a more psychologically healthy group. I don't think being in a situation that prohibits sex somehow causes the problem. A priest could just as easily have affairs with women, etc. Also, this obviously doesn't explain all the married men who engage in similar types of behavior. So, basically I agree with your assessment of the problem larry.

The only thing capable of curing pedophilia is death. Quite a few priests do go to prostitutes or have mistresses. larry, I want to allow priests to marry, because the concept of a human being, foibles, faults and all, trying to emulate the life of the Son of Deity in all ways, is ludicrous.

Not that this would solve all the problems, but I agree with TinCan in that encouraging a more normal group to become priests couldn't hurt, and might help.

I don't know about "curing" because there is no cure for a pedophile, but lets make it clear that lots of people are pedophiles, most aren't even caught. The sick fuckers that are caught, get out to do it again.
There are also millions of priests that are NOT pedophiles, so the whole priest/pedo thing really needs to stop. Because some priests are pedophiles doesn't mean all are.
Lots of ministers are pedophiles, lots of high up people are. Alot of people are murderers and rapists and robbers and you name it...

My ballot is about people who say priest should be able to marry to cut down on pedifila, I couldn’t understand why they would say this, not being able to marry does not a pedophile make.
But the ballot is irrelevant and will be closed because tincan explained what people mean when they say priest should be allowed to marry.
I also know there is no cure, I was being dramatic for ballot title sake.
