BEING TREATED RUDELY IN RESTAURANT : WHAT DO YOU DO?

[+] ballot by LCD
ACTIVE Nov 05,2007 - Tue Nov 04, 08
that's the problem with national chains. They have no accountability.

suppose you go into macdonalds. The counter person is unbelievably rude to you.

you can make a complaint, but it falls on deaf ears. you see, they serve billions, and one customer will not make a difference, and will cost more to deal with the complaint, than losing that customer.

what would you do, if you are treated rudely?

call their customer service number (its on most receipts) 5
Never return 4
laugh it off, best revenge is that they are working at macdonalds 3
file complaint, demand response. 2
Go to Burger King 0
Buy food to go from their competitor and eat it in their dining area 0
vomit on table 0

I find it happens less now than it did just a few years ago. Most companies like Micky D's and B.K. have complaint lines. And they don't fall on deaf ears. The will go way out of the way to discipline the employee.

Voted : Never return
After walking out, while loudly calling any friends who might frequent the place and telling them to boycott if.

Don't go back and take your business elsewhere. Then call the management and tell them you were doing so and why.

UncleRandy's right. It doesnt fall on deaf ears as much as people think it does. At least not when dealing with management with any intelligence.

I've seen alot actually appear concerned. And then there's some with a superiority complex who thinks they can do no wrong and anyone with a complaint can shove it. The latter usually find their sales dropping before too long.

Don't forget to make a mess.

I recently stopped in at a McDonald's in Vail, Colorado and was not very pleased with the place. It was dirty around the drink machines, the restrooms were nasty and every person working there was speaking in Spanish to each other and could hardly communicate with me. McDonald's sure isn't my kind of place anymore.
