advice : WHICH IS THE GREATER THREAT: EL QAEDA OR IMPORTED PRODUCTS ?

It seems every time I look at the news there is a new recall of some imported product, whether toys, foods, industrial, or for car and home use which can lead to serious illness, harmful consequences up to and including death. There are imports here yet to be discovered that may harbor dangers to the population in general...could this be a more dangerous situation than terrorists ? Are we flirting with the "Trojan Horse" syndrone ?
