SPORTS: SHOULD STEROIDS AND HUMAN GROWTH HORMONES BE LEGAL AND REGULATED ?

It certainly seems there are many athletes willing to use them to have an edge, and in so doing cause others to do so in order to level the "playing field...then there's the monetary reward for the players who "perform" on a more productive level...so why not allow them to use the stuff, regulate the stuff, and compensate by moving the fence back, deadening the ball, moving the bases further apart, (in baseball, for example) raising the mound, etc. Once the "genie" is out of the bottle, it is nearly impossible to get him/her back in there... so what do you say ?

No, let's ban everyone "caught" using the stuff 14
Yeah, let's legalize the stuff for sports only 12
Waterboard all players to get to the truth 7
Life with without parole for the abusers 3
An automatic 65% pay cut for anyone "caught" using 2

Sure. We could even get Roid Rage in as an Olympic qualifying sport.

I say start banning those who use them.

To level the playing field, it's either everybody uses them, or no one uses them. When they're used, it's not much different than some type of robotic or mechanical assistance to me. It's unnatural. Not much different than sandpapering a baseball or putting cork in a bat.

I don't think that those who choose not to screw up their bodies by not using them should, ultimately, be punished by not performing as good as the others and getting smaller paychecks.

Then there's the trickle down effect... Highschool athletes are using them now so they can make the big plays and get the scholarships.

Wait till they start to the stem cell from the athletes children's umbilical cord to fix broken down parts of the aging star.

I think that within fifty years the medical community will figure out how the all this stuff can help the general population and it will become legal to use them.

Like the way Aleve was once a prescription and now it's over the counter. The same with Claritin and all those heartburn medications.
