If polygamy was legal then the rich and the aesthetically appealing would have many partners - whereas the ugly and the poor would have none - as a girl would rather share a rich handsome guy then have a poor ugly guy all to herself - the poor and the ugly would revolt as they aren't getting any pussy and overthrow the rich and the beautiful. A communist society would be set up that would declare that all sexual partners must be shared with fellow comrades - the remaining capitalist countries would declare war on the commie USA - because nobody trusts a communist - this would lead to world war three and the inevitable destruction of mankind - yet it would not be just mankind that perished in the nuclear inferno - no - all plant life and other animals would die too - all the poisonous gases and chemicals used in world war three would affect the environment. Global warming would shoot through the roof and the ice caps would melt - eventually the world would become so chaotic that it would explode - its remnants scattering throughout the galaxy - unnoticed by the rest of galactic society.
That is why polygamy is illegal. If you’re against the destruction of the earth then you should be anti-polygamy too.
