I don't like too many lights, it's tacky and not good for environment,IMO
I also hate all of those plastic snowmen and Santa's spread all over the lawns of some houses. If you have a THEME keep it, don't put a snowman next to Baby Jesus

I have neighbors all about me who have gone from the ridiculous to the mind-numbing, from light displays that probably screw up pilots on approach to Hartsfield to inflatable snowglobes the size of an SUV. Maybe it's me and my rampant lack of Christmas spirit.

A couple of weeks ago, when I was out running errands, I saw a display of an inflatable snowman *holding* a Baby Jesus.

^Was the snowman a virgin? I have a tiny little tree,maybe a foot high, and one string of lights around my door, and that's it. I mostly just wanted some colored lights to take the gloom out of the atmosphere anyway. Some people really go crazy with them though (I've seen some that would just about put Las Vegas to shame).
