That is a terrible fear, when I did my clinical in geriatrics, a woman as you described told me that every night she prayed she would die before she lost all of her faculties.
Sadly she will probably live like a vegetable for years.

^ problem is, you would have to do at the stage described in ballot, because it can happen so fast, a light stroke could hurry it a long even more and you're trapped.
(voted live life)... I know I'm slipping too, I try doing crosswords, puzzles and do math mentally to stay sharp, maybe it's something in our diets...I've been trying to eat more fish and maybe try ginko biloba, I think the energy drinks help a little also...

You might forget why you hated anybody, or what you worried about. If someone would take care of you, you might be happy that way. Especially if they gave you directions home when you became dazed and confused.

Life is precious. Wouldn't give that up, even as I watched my faculties slide into oblivion. I'd write more than ever.
