Letting you all know that I'm fine, just lots of rain, hail and wind. (I do need to check the car, though.) The worst of the damage seems to have been in Atlanta, and advisories to avoid coming intown are still standing. Thank you for your concern, my friend.
Just getting updates from CNN (slow, because their offices took damage) saying that 13,000 are without power, damaged roofs all over the place, and another line of storms are about three hours west. Hope Lemmingstraggler missed this show.
Godspeed truth. Sounds like the next round is set to be another knockout punch. Only personal examples I can think of are some pretty big earthquakes (7.8 was the biggest one I can remmeber) when I lived in Cali and the Minneapolis bridge collapse last year.
Thanks, Nate! Still hanging in to date. The storms look to be skirting north of me so far. Still under a tornado watch until 7:00. I'm less nervous than I was two hours ago.

if it had been one year later. Have you heard on the news about how some Las Vegas medical clinics have been reusing dirty hypodermic syringes and vials on patients? Over 40,000 people were given injections with dirty needles to save money!! This practice started in 2004 with the installation of a self seekiing overseer who may have been pocketing the "savings". People have contracted HIV and Hepatitis from this filthy practice. I had an injection at the worst of these places, but it was one year before it started. I'm safe but I feel horrid for others who may have been infected. I wish there was something I could do to help? Any suggestions?
^ (hugs for forgetmenot) As for ways to help, see if any of the victims are in long-term care and in need of volunteers for home-meal delivery, or just a little companionship.
I thought about Truth after reading about tornadoes in Atlanta. I'm glad he's ok.
I also read about the crazy hospital forgetmenot went to. Fortunately I haven't made major news lately.
