DOES THIS SEEM LIKE A DREAM OR A VISITATION?

I want to share with you the dream I had last night. It was a dream, not a visitation, I am sure...but who knows? Dad could have been telling me to call my Sister, which I will do as soon as I post this ballot!

I dreamed I was in my family's old house, the one where my Sister and I grew up. My Dad who, in reality, died some time ago, was sitting in a chair in my bedroom near my window. He was staring into space. In the dream, I knew my Dad had died along time ago, but I asked him if he was OK and he told me he was fine. I went into my Sister's room, and she was there as she is now in real life. We talked for a little while, and then I told her I was going to check on Dad. Dad now had his head in his hands. I asked him if he was OK. He didn't say anything, but I could see he was dying. In reality, both my Sister and I had not visited my Dad in several months before he died, so his death felt even more terrible because we felt as though we had abandoned him. In the dream, I said to myself that there are so many things I need or want to do and that I didn't have the time to stay here with Dad. But I decided to stay with him until the end; I had to bring the comfort to my Dad my Sister and I felt we had denied him, and undue the damage and erase the guilt we had brought to ourselves. I stayed with him until he stopped breathing. I went into my Sister's room to tell her Dad that had died, but she was not there. I went back into my own room and Dad was gone, but now my Sister was there as a little girl, in that same chair my Dad had occupied. In reality, my Sister and I were born so close that we were always competing with each other, and we did not develop a terribly warm relationship. In the dream, I told my Sister that I was so glad she was there. She told me she was glad that I had stayed with Dad until the end. I told her I wanted us to start over and to make up for all the fighting we had done as kids. She said she wanted that, too. She gave me a set of red keys, which she said were the keys to her heart. I told her this was the very best day of my whole life, and then I woke up feeling absolutely wonderful.

I don't know, but it must have had some important meaning, like resolving issues from the past.

Feels like a little bit of both to me. No matter. Take it as a sign that your father wanted to ease your path a bit, and take the advice.

I just saw this ballot for the first time.

Dreaming of someone who has been dead for a long time suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. Your subconscious is telling you that you really should get in touch with your sister, and you are listening to it. I hope it worked out well.
