OMG. Forgetmenot, I am 100% not kidding when I say that I asked my girlfriend this question less than a week ago. I can't remember what show/movie we were watching, but somehow it brought it to my mind to ask this question. How freaking random is that.
The only twist was that I asked if it was gay sex or masturbation like R_T_L_ suggests. I concluded that if you time travel and have sex with yourself, it is indeed masturbation.

I'm not sure. I *am* sure, however, that this question remind sme of the classic David Gerrold novella "The Man Who Folded Himself", which didn't involve time travel, but did end with one men having sex with multiple analogues of himself. Yes, kids, science fiction is strange stuff.
^I must get hold of this book. It sounds about as convoluted as I think.
