Voted : I do not trust the Government to run Healthcare.
sadly, I've seen too many promises not kept. I do believe one payer system, that is market controlled, under management of a non-governmental agency would work better than any suggested so far.

Too much mandatory stuff in Hillary's plan...
Voted : Obama's Healthcare Plan is preferable
i think both have good points and bad points. lcd makes a very good point and he's onto something there. but i think barack just has a better perspective and is much more in touch with reality.

Hillary's plan is better (and one of the primary reasons I support her over Obama) for many reasons. I also doubt that the vast majority of respondents to this ballot can even tell me the basics of any candidates plan. With Hillary's plan, it mandates coverage for ALL Americans. It doesn't just offer it like Obama and McCain's do. Health care coverage for ALL Americans is something that every single Democratic candidate (general election) for president since Truman has supported. Obama would be the first not to. People might say "why do I need to buy health care since I never need it". That's extremely rare. Its also extremely rare that such individuals unless they are multi-millionaires will ALL be able to afford their health care costs if they suffer serious illness or injury. And if they can't ALL of us have to pay. Usually the costs are higher because treatment is put off because of cost. Frankly, I do not understand why implementing a single payer system is so difficult for Americans to comprehend and implement. Every other civilized 1st world country does it. This "socialized medicine" mantra that gets bantered about along with overblown complaints about Canada's system are just bullshit promulgated by conservatives. If the French and Italians can somehow manage to provide single payer coverage to their citizens, why can't the US do it and do it better? Notice this map. Notice anything unusual. We, for some reason can't implement single payer coverage (or any system for that matter) that covers everyone but we can do it AND PAY FOR IT for both IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.
" it mandates coverage for ALL Americans" okay, so what would happen if there's some illegal alien, who got hit by a drunk driver and bleeding on the street? what does hilary's plan do for her? better yet, how about tax paying legal alien in US, while working 2 jobs get shot by a robber. does hilary's "american plan" protect him? I think a lot of people with vested interest are looking to exclude whoever groups that doesn't include them in it. I am beginning to see a lot of lip service without substance in this election, catered to those who would throw their vote on anybody with a promise to take care of them first. that rarely works out.

Anything got to be better than the current situation.
An emergency room at ANY hospital whether public or privately owned is legally mandated to treat emergency cases whether or not the person has insurance. That is the way it is now. This is the reason some people complain about the free health care illegals get. I don't see the emergency policy changing. It is the humane thing to do and doctors will always treat people in these situations. " better yet, how about tax paying legal alien in US, while working 2 jobs get shot by a robber. does hilary's "american plan" protect him?" Yes.
as long as the illegals do not get preferred treatments over citizens who are more ill and sick, but I hear stories in some hospitals that illegals have to be treated first regardless. Do Emergency Rooms in Mexico treat American tourist with no insurance?
