Here are the facts from factcheck dot org: It's true that Obama doesn't take money directly from oil companies, but then, no presidential, House or Senate candidate does. They can't: Corporations have been prohibited from contributing directly to federal candidates since the Tillman Act became law in 1907. Obama has accepted more than $213,000 in contributions from individuals who work for, or whose spouses work for, companies in the oil and gas industry, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Two of Obama's bundlers are top executives at oil companies and are listed on his Web site as raising between $50,000 and $100,000 for the presidential hopeful.
Voted : No, it isn't true. He has taken oil company money
If they are from Oil executives themselves or similar, it is like taking it from oil companies.
Source:roadkillrefugeedotwordpress: Her (Hillary) attack relies on misleading editing of Obama’s ad. She focuses on his statement in his ad that he doesn’t take money from oil companies, and then stops his remarks there in mid-sentence. In Obama’s unedited ad, below, he says he doesn’t take money from oil companies or their Washington lobbyists. She deleted that last part because she does take money from oil company Washington lobbyists. As for the picky argument about how politicians can accept contributions from directly from companies, Obama was obviously referring to corporate Political Action Committees (PACs), which is the legal vehicle for corporate campaign contributions, which Hillary does take money from and Obama does not. Corporate PACs exist solely to influence legislation to serve the corporation that created the PAC. In this 30 second ad, Obama was speaking conversationally, not in any formal legal sense (and Hillary knows this). ***spin, spin, spin...
What a load of Bullsh*t from you. Do you want to know where I got this factcheck article? From a link from MSNBC. It linked to Newsweek article which reprinted the Factcheck article. I didn't get it from Hillary. LOL. What a pathetic response of you to make. You in fact make my point "In Obama’s unedited ad, below, he says he doesn’t take money from oil companies or their Washington lobbyists." Which is exactly what the question is about. Does he or does he not take money from oil companies? I never mentioned lobbyists. No, he doesn't. But he IS being a weasel about and in his own words according to you. Factcheck is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding. The ballot merely shows you Obama Kool-aid drinkers is that he is no different from the rest. Its this do or die responses from you guys that makes me strongly consider not voting for him IF he is the nominee. The Annenberg Political Fact Check is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. The APPC was established by publisher and philanthropist Walter Annenberg in 1994 to create a community of scholars within the University of Pennsylvania that would address public policy issues at the local, state, and federal levels. The APPC accepts NO funding from business corporations, labor unions, political parties, lobbying organizations or individuals. It is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation. If you looked at the FACTS, you would have realized this. You would also realize that they have mercilessly criticized Hillary as well. They don't have a political agenda in this. This is what is so amusing about you Obama supporters. Your guys is iNnOcEnT aNd PuRe LiKe AnGelS. He can do no wrong, make no mistake, never shade the truth, etc. He's your messiah. Any criticism of him is of bounds. Anyways, the deck chairs on the Obama Titanic are all set up.
I don't know - why would you make a quiz with all that innuendo...
Technically true, as no candidate can directly take money from corporations.
