erm i think he was taking the piss mate. As in " diet drink ". Poking fun at your weight. if you drink to much you'll disappear.
^ Yep, that's the one. It's an expression I've heard used here too. It's usually used when someone thin states that they're on a diet etc. "Yeah, lose any more weight and you're gonna disappear"
If said to a larger person I suppose it could be considered a piss-take.
It means because you are drinking diet coke, you will get so thin you will disappear. Thatg's my guess. I have had people say that to me when they see me eat diet snacks.
