i'm talking about peeps who go nuclear right away. they cross the line. they get agressive and hostile the instant anyone is putting forth an idea or fact they don't like. then what do they do? they freak. they insult, they attack and they generally act like pyschotic assholes. dare you confront them and bam! all of a sudden, they're the victim. they're "playing by the rules" and you're the one who's acting out. it's freakish. how do people like that sleep at night? how do they live their lives? sad. very sad.

^ is it that magic again where you think you can turn back time? uhh, i'm pretty sure everyone can see your comment came first. is that what makes you so hostile and agressive? that you lash out and then try to cover it up? hmm. won't work. the ballot comments are all chronological. in my comment of 4:29, did i mention you? nope. in your follow-up comment of 4:42 did you name me? yep. so, keep trying champ. i never, ever back down when faced with a liar.
In real life... basically none. This is despite the fact that I interact with or am friends with numerous people who are just out of homelessness, just starting recovery from drug addiction, have a serious or fatal injury or disease or other problems. Basically none of these people are of the type you describe.
Online it is a completely different story. The Internet draws out the miserable people. We all know the types. They usually create multiple identities. They pathologically and unprovoked attack other users. On forum sites they repeat the same attacks (usually things they think the user to whom it is directed or other users will consider insults), they try to divide users and pit them against the others, sabotage forums and discussions, and create an environment hostile to new users as well. Because they are sociopaths or psychopaths, they crave the negative attention. Of course, they would never be able to get away with this behavior in real life. Because they are so miserable and lonely, these types of behaviors are apparently the only way they feel that someone will notice them (and their miserable existence). Its really sad.
People that have been through or are going through really bad things aren't usually the miserable type. If so, it only lasts for awhile. The jerk types we see online are different. Rarely have they gone through severe problems but they are assholes almost all the time.
