Yes, if that is the lone determining factor instead of political positions on issues, integrity and track record. I've been called a racist plenty of times on this site, so by default I should know a little on the subject. "soully"? is that spelling meant to appeal to a certain group?
If you used "SOULly" on purpose (instead of solely) you're a genius! Great pun!

If your definition of racism necesssarily includes discrimination and denying someone employment, rights or benefits then no, those people (who vote solely on race) aren't racists. If your definition of racism focuses on "prejudice" then you could call such a person racist.

It's not *my* position, CI. I do happen to know people who vote this way. They simply refuse to take off their blinders and look beyond race. Their downfall.
elvislennon Not a genius just a bad speller. :(
Voted : yes, and it's not very intelligent, is it?
Ideally people should vote for 'the best' candidate, most qualified, most experienced one would think, most intelligent and sensible and effective and trustworthy and reasonable and suitable for the office they aspire to.. It seems that American blacks like to vote for their own, period, without regard to real qualifications or suitability.. That might be regarded as a form of racism, but a large percent of White Americans will and do vote for all races, not so often just for their own race.. I suppose if I were Martian I might vote for the Martian candidate, as well.. Please, I wish there Were a Martian candidate, not these others..!
