Green Berets, Walking tall. My favorite character actor of ALL TIME.
Margaret Dumont (the perfect foil for Groucho Marx's wit). Strother Martin ("What we have here is a failure to comminicate."). Marjorie Main (my mom's a huge fan of the Ma and Pa Kettle movies). Dub Taylor and Parly Bear (you might not know who they are, but you've probably seen them dozens of times - they made hundreds of movie and tv appearances). Neville Brand (the meanest and toughest bad guy ever - and a real life war hero). Slim Pickens (who could ever forget him riding the bomb in "Dr. Stranglove"). We need more good character actors in movies and tv today. Character actors give a movie, well, character.

Oh, yes, a fascinating actor. He was awesomely scary in Cry Terror. He was well-read and had a huge book collection.
