The fact that a colonist could pay 5 pounds to keep from serving in the military only to have some other poor kid take his spot. Half the colonists werent even intrested in fighting the British but they were forced to.

Actually a lot of bankers who financed Hitlers standing army, the SA, where American and much of the German industry was intertwined with that of the US (ever wondered why the FORD plants in Germany and France never got hit, or how IG Farben had a surprising amount of American board members through and from subsidiaries in the US)
