When Diefenbaker scrapped the Avro Arrow program (The Arrow was a military jet, a Soviet intercepor).
Not only did he scrap the program but he ordered all the drawings and everything that had anything to do with the program destroyed. Prey much killed the Canadian military aircraft industry...not that I'm really into the military, but at the time it was a symbol of national pride that was killed by a spineless cowering worthless piece of shit Prime Minister who was swayed by the U.S. military industrial complex. Idiot.
