All of you are wrong, Raising Hell by Run DMC is the biggest, and greatest album from the 80's. With great hits like: Peter Piper, My Addidas, RockBox, and my favorite, I't Tricky.
Bauhaus-In the Flat Field. Sisters of Mercy-Floodland. The Cure-Disintegration. Nine Inch Nails-Pretty Hate Machine.
