I can't honestly say what's the "best." That's highly subjective. But Citizen Kane is a landmark film. It proved that movies can indeed be art.
Ok... there are lots of good films here... I couldn't say for sure which one is "THE BEST". I can say Citizen Kane deserves to be in this list, just like A clockwork orange, Brazil, Casablanca, and many others... I personally regret you didn't remember "What ever happened to Baby Jane?" or Fritz Lang's "M". Oh, I wouldn't know. There are too many good films out there.
Oh, and maybe we could add "Bowling for Columbine" to our list, just to make it more controversial?
