Hehe, Well I think they called it the whitehouse because it's painted white. It's more based on the publics preception of things. White is a sign of peace. The white surrender flag, the red cross etc... Black on the other hand is not used to demonstrate peace. The pirate flags, black market, dark stormy skies. With the way the U.S is runnin it's foreign policy right now, I think it's more appropriate if they painted it black and called it the black house. The color black by the way is also a sign of degnity and respect. In clothing for example at funnerals. It over powers other colors.

White is the standard nuetral color and stands for good. Black stands for evil and I don't think I ever saw a black building anywhere.
