its a shame, but the way we live is the cause of the problem, I do what I can to help, but we are all waistful pigs that will only stop when we have to.

Emmm...I was talking about all human beings, not just Americans. They may consume the most, but they aren't the only offenders.

I try not to think about it. Seriously, it bothers me A LOT. Homo Sapiens is not so sapiens in the end. We were a good species when we were under 3 billions. Now we are a bunch of idiots. The only think to do is birth control. But, that's impossible I guess, expecially if you want to preserve freedoms and rights (and I badly want to). Give culture, may be that will reduce greed and fear, who knows. It's all related.
Another thing that comes to my mind: when we destroy the world, and all the difference in nature etc, we destroy our place. Like, our home. I think we KNOW what we are doing. We are like kids protesting against the bad things. Spoilt, bored, idealistic, ignorant. Kids. Unfortunately, we have no parents around to kindly slap our head-

Considering that the America's have caused more damage in 200 years than Europe has in over 2000, yeah, it's a little perturbing! Yes, we can do something about it, but it's going to have to start from the top, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

I think people won't do anything until it's too late. I hate people who chuck their rubbish on the floor when they're 3 feet away from a bin!

Yes. For some reason, short-term vision has become the human Modus Operandi -- whatever benefits me directly today ... is Good. Threats that may come tomorrow ... well, tomorrow never comes, does it.
