No, its the same except for modern medicine. All we need is the basics, we all waiste our energy on material crap because we can afford to, most people on earth are still worrying about the basics. I plan to live much simpler once the kids are on their own, I think it would be a more satisfying lifestyle.

Everyone needs to slow down....enjoy things. High pressured jobs and the "expectations" society has placed on all of us has created a huge amount of stress.
I think technology has made my life easier. Without technology I would sit in my chair, unable to get any information beyond what's in the newspaper or the books I own. Now I can sit here in front of my computer and get the information I want with a few keystrokes.
