Religion seems to be a public affair in America.By public affair I mean that the state and religion seem to mingle fairly often.For example on American currency the phrase "In God We Trust" can be found.The pledge of allegiance also contains a referance to God.Other western democracies lack the religious overtones that are found in America.These democracies do everything within their power to keep state and church seperate.I can't think of another western nation that is more religious than America.Is America the most religious nation of the west?

Just uses religion in politics and try to justify their cause with the bible which is wrong relgion has no place in politics and should be kept aside from it.

Yes,the religious right have a very strong influence.
Unfortunately the separation of church and state does not
exist with the current US
government in Washington. I'm all for a separation of the powers between the two. It is obvious to the
GOP, Democrats, independents and those who don't vote that Dubya is influenced by the Christian right wing conservatives.
I believe no country on the planet has the acceptance for diversity of religion that the United States has.
In Australia there's a reference to god you have the option of reciting when becoming a citzen. But there's nothing about an unproven deity written on our currency.
