WOULD YOU REALLY WANT TO GO BACK TO BEING A CHILD?

I recall hearing, when I was growing up, from all the adults - that they wished they were children again. I almost always wanted to be older. Now I'm in my early 20's, and although I can see some advantages to going back ($$$, childish wonder, pure friendships, lack of self-awareness, etc...), the disadvantages just outweigh them - the chief ones being lack of freedom and experience.

So, would you really want to go back to being a child - permanently; (or for at least a few years)?

What if you couldn't retain the knowledge you had acquired?

I agree with Steelhamster. Only 'if I knew then what I know now'

No, I have come too far and it has cost too much.

Besides, looking back, I realize it is not that those times were Good ... it was just that I was more ignorant of the Bad.

I agree. If I can take the knowledge I have now, I would. I can only imagine the doors you could open for yourself! However, if it's just to go back and begin over, no way. It wasn't all sunshine and roses and I really enjoy the confidence I have in myself now as well as the ability to say, "who cares what they think!". I like the age I am now. :)

Not for me... as others have said, only if I can take all my current knowledge experiences and even then I wouldn't want to go any further than my teens.
