by being excluded from the front line (combat)women are being denied the opportunity for battlefield career advancements (field promotions)..is this fair? or are we really keeping them from combat for another reason?

With the ever-increasing technology of warfare, there seem to be fewer and fewer reasons for exclusion. Given the manpower shortages caused by a general willingness to address conflicts through fighting, it seems inevitable.
