If the situation were reversed, if a third of a traditionally male college were to turn out and protest the admittance of women then the feminists would have a field day with it and the story would be posted in the headlines of just about every newspaper in the country for a week. As is, this is probably all we're going to hear about it.
Woah! I almost answered completely differently! What a difference a hyphen makes! You don't mean 'all male' and 'all female' colleges ... you mean 'all-male' and 'all-female' examples, right?
It probably is hypocritical, if viewed in a strict, literalist manner. But that means their arguments are imprecise/ misplaced, not that their desired result is without merit.
Yeah, for some reason I get in trouble for using hyphenated words on here sometimes, says they're too long. So I try to avoid them.
If they really want equality then it is certainly hypocritical. The problem is that some feminists don't want equality, they want the inequality reversed.
